ESFA continues cooperation with Azerbaijan to share best practices in response to domestic violence challenges The kick-off event of the EU-funded Twinning project titled “Strengthening the capacity of the State Bodies and local level referral mechanisms to provide safety and support to the victims of domestic violence” was held remotely on 29th March to officially mark the launch of the initiative. The main goal of this summarising event was to present the results and acheivements of the project and share the experience that both partner sides acquired during its implemetnation. Closing ceremony of the Twinning project in Azerbaijan On Friday, 10 of July 2020, a Closure event of the Twinning project “Support to Strengthening the Higher Education System in Azerbaijan” was held. The final event, held in an online format, aimed to sum up the results of the project and inform the public about the outcomes of the project implemented over the last two years. First Steering Committee of the EU-funded Twinning project ”Capacity Building of Public Service Bureau of Georgia to Implement the Civil Service Reform” On 18 December the Steering Committee of the EU-funded Twinning project ”Capacity Building of Public Service Bureau of Georgia to Implement the Civil Service Reform” has gathered for the 1-st quarterly meeting. The participants discussed the activities to take place during the initial stage of the project. The study visit to Lithuania for the delegation from Republic of Azerbaijan was organised In the frame of the EU Twinning project “Support to further reforms of the civil service system in Azerbaijan” during the 3rd to the 7th of December 2018, a study visit for the representatives from the State Examination Centre of the Republic of Azerbaijan was organized in Vilnius, Lithuania. Kick-off Event of the EU-funded Twinning project “Support to Strengthening the Higher Education System in Azerbaijan” was organized The Ministry of Education the Republic of Azerbaijan and the EU-funded Twinning project Support to Strengthening the Higher Education System in Azerbaijan together organized the official Kick-off Event of the project on September 25th, 2018 in Baku. The general objective of the project, which is implemented by a consortium of relevant state institutions from France, Lithuania and Latvia and by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is to further develop Azerbaijan’s higher education system through aligning it with a competence-based education approach. Throughout the project, the experts coming from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania, Research and Higher Education Monitoring and Analysis Centre and European Social Fund Agency will transfer to Azerbaijani colleagues the good Lithuanian experience in higher education improvement issues.
