Social Innovation Grants
The European Competence Centre for Social Innovation launches EU-level calls for proposals aimed at supporting transnational projects that facilitate transfer and/ or scaling up of social innovations including several types of action. These projects conceptualize and validate tested approaches, help to roll out validated models across Europe or help the social innovation support organizations to improve their capacities.
The Social Innovation Initiative is implemented by the European Competence Center for Social Innovation (created and managed by ESFA) through two work streams: Social Innovation Grants and Knowledge Sharing.
The Social Innovation Grants are implemented through EU-wide calls for proposals and aim to:
- to roll out proven social innovations in EU Member States and EaSI participating countries by matching “demand” and “supply”,
- to conceptualize and validate innovative approaches, taking into account results of relevant projects and actions across Europe and other available evidence,
- to support transnational cooperation, capacity building, mutual learning and joint activities of organizations or networks, which play a strategic and structuring role in supporting social innovation in Member States and EaSI participating countries.
