On the 2nd of September, 2011 a delegation from the Gothenburg office of the Swedish ESF Council visited the European Social Fund Agency (ESFA).
During the meeting, the director of the Agency Povilas Česonis made a presentation on ESFA‘s structure, activities and programmes managed. Jurgita Gečytė, project manager of the project management division presented ESFA’s initiatives. There were discussions on the cooperation issues between the agencies.
During the stay in Lithuania, the Swedish delegation met with representatives of the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, visited Trakai Employment Centre of Disabled and the Vilnius territorial Labour Exchange.
On 9-10 June, 2011 European Social Fund Agency organized a conference „The ESF administrating institutions of the Baltics – sharing best practice“
On 9-10 June, 2011 European Social Fund Agency organized a conference „The ESF administrating institutions of the Baltics – sharing best practice“, which took place in Juodkrantė. The event was attended by the participants from the ESF administrating institutions from Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.
Mr. Dainius Numgaudis, Chancellor of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania together with Mr. Antanas Vinkus the Mayor of Neringa Municipality and Mr. Povilas Česonis, the director of the European Social Fund Agency welcomed the participants of the Conference.
Participants during the two days event were actively discussing on the common issues and problems that ESF administrating institutions are facing in the Baltic countries and also exchanged their good practices.
2011-03-08 Visit of the Head of Unit - Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania, from EC DG EMPL, Mr. Jiri SVARC to Agency
On the 8th of March, 2011 the Head of Unit - Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania, from EC DG EMPL, Mr. Jiri SVARC visited the European Social Fund Agency.
During the meeting the director of the Agency made a presentation on ESFA‘s activities and programmes managed, atchievements and visions. The Project success stories were presented bythe representatives of three different project management divisions.
The purpose of the visit – to get acquainted with the countries supervised. EC representative came to Lithuania after his visit to Finland. Latvia – the next destination on his schedule. During his stay in Lithuania Mr. Jiri SVARC also visited Ministry of Finance.
28-Jan-2011. Visit of Second Secretary of the Deputy Directorate General for EU Accession Process from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Ms. Bilge KOÇYİĞİT to Agency
On the 28th January, 2011 the Second Secretary of the Deputy Directorate General for EU Accession Process from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Ms. Bilge KOÇYİĞİT vısıted the European Socıal Fund Agency.
During the meeting the director of the agency together with the acting head of the Quality Assurance and Control Division presented a general overview of the ESFA’s activities, programmes managed, good practices and lessons learned from the project administration.
It was also discussed with the guest about the possible international cooperation in the area of the Human Resources Development Operation Programme.
The representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey came to Lithuania to learn more about the accession experience of Lithuania to the EU.
22-Apr-2009. Visit of Delegation of Republic of Azerbaijan to Agency
On April 21, the Support Foundation European Social Fund Agency was visited by the delegation of the state institution representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The purpose of the visit was to get familiar with the proficiency of the relevant Lithuanian institutions in implementation of the programmes being administered by the European Union’s Structural Funds. During their visit to the Agency, the guests were particularly interested in the Agency’s activities, the process of procedure development, the application of procedures to practice, and perspectives on cooperation.
26-28-Nov-2008. Visit of Belgian Auditors to Agency
On 26-28 November, the Support Foundation European Social Agency was visited by the auditors of the ESF Agency Belgium. Following the ESF quality audit system applied in Belgium they performed the audit of the Agency’s quality resulting in the certification of the ESF quality system (ESF label).
19-Sept-2008. Visit of Belgian Experts to Agency
On 18-19 September 2008, the Support Foundation European Social Agency arranged a practical seminar on Application of the Single Assessment Process (SAP): Dissemination of Expertise. The participants of the seminar were sharing the experience of the Flemish European Social Fund Agency (Belgium) and European Social Fund Agency (Lithuania) in application of the SAP in self-assessment and improvement processes, as well as covered more extensive issues of the SAP and other quality management system application. The seminar was attended and reports made by Erik Conings, Head of the Quality Audit Department of the Flemish European Social Fund Agency (Belgium), Roland Verkest, Expert of the SAP and European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Model (Belgium), Jurgita Šakalytė, Head of the Quality Assurance and Control Division of the Support Foundation European Social Fund Agency.
03-Jul-2008. Support Foundation European Social Fund Agency Visited by Delegation of Ministry of Finance of Macedonian Republic
On July 3, the Support Foundation European Social Fund Agency was visited by the delegation of the National Fund, Central Finance and Contracts Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Macedonia. The purpose of the visit in Lithuania was to get familiar with the proficiency of relevant Lithuanian institutions in implementation of the pre-succession programmes PHARE and ISPA funded by the European Commission. During the visit to the Support Foundation European Social Fund Agency the employees introduced the Agencies activities, discussed the issues of the PHARE programme implementation, and shared the expertise gained.
