The works of the previous programming period are being completed, we have stepped into the new programming period, the ideas generated through a long process of considerations turned into documents, the documents turned into actual applications, the number of which became a new challenge to all of us. This challenge would be impossible to deal with, if there were no changes in our organisation. We can not stop, though we have grown up, matured, we have become a reliable, modern organisation pursuing particular goals. Since November, we started working with a new structure, we have developed a realistic, substantial and ambitious Strategic Plan of the Agency, which was discussed by the Board and suggested some clarifications, we have the quality system that we improve continuously, we take active part in different work groups, we look for optimal solutions for improvement of processes and procedures, improvement of communication, increasing motivation, we step towards implanting of values of the Agency.

 

Today our main assets are gifted, responsible and professional employees of the Agency, and experienced, proactive, modern-minded project promoters and applicants, benevolent, cooperating partners and founders. This year, better than anytime before, we realize who we are, and what our purpose is – what do we work for, why we perform certain tasks, what goals do we pursue, why we discuss and argue, why we strive to improve quality. We are there to contribute with the Lithuanian and the EU funds to making the education of people the foundation of the progress of our country. We understand that our purpose is not just evaluation of applications, verification of payment request, preparation of reports. We do that for the benefit of Lithuanian people – to provide them with the opportunities for improvement, integration into community, for change and for improvement of their lives....

 

After six years of our work, we can talk about definite figures: during the 2004 – 2006 period of the Single Programming Document of Lithuania, the Agency has contributed to participation in different activities of the ESF projects of 300000 Lithuanian people (beneficiaries). We achieved these changes – definite use for a particular person – through our daily work. Today we can raise not only the question “How many?”, but also the question “How?”. When cooperation, respect, professionalism, loyalty and improvement are reflected in out essential principles, we will be able to state that we are becoming a recognised modern organisation. Therefore let’s accept challenges, let’s be susceptible to changes, let’s be creative and enjoy the results we have achieved in reaching through to a particular person in Lithuania.
